Classes meet every other week, on Saturday and Sunday, to readily accommodate the schedules of working adults.
You can complete some of the program coursework in just 18 months, or take up to three years to finish. All programs are offered via the University’s quarter system, and lead to the Master of Science degree (M.S. in Ed.) and to eligibility for New York State Certification.

For Certified Teachers
Teacher of Students with Disabilities (SWD)
36-39 M.S. Ed. Students with Disabilities
Graduates are recommended for certification as a Teacher of SWD as well as the annotation/extension in Severe/Multiple Disabilities.
12-15 Credit Certification
For those who are seeking certification in SWD and currently hold a certification in another area.
9-12 Credit Pathway
For those who already hold certification in SWD and wish to pursue the extension/annotation in Severe/Multiple Disabilities
